NewTecHomes - Our Service
Under most circumstances we can assess building plots though site plans, internet tools and information provided by you. Nevertheless, we are more than willing to provide site visits, especially when you plan to build on challenging terrain or have specific low energy or off grid requirements.
Using our computer aided design ( CAD ) technology we offer an architectural service which provides a full set of floor plans, elevations and 3D images which can be submitted for planning approval and revised, if necessary, to meet planning requirements.
Once the plans have been agreed by local planning, foundations and ground works are prepared while the house is manufactured at our factory. Depending on requirements, this process takes four to six weeks for an average family home. Whatever the schedule, we always plan the first delivery to arrive only when the site is ready.
The length of the manufacturing process depends on size and design. All of our raw material is farm grown, kiln dried, pre-cut and packaged for transportation and site storage. Every product required to complete the house is carefully selected to maintain the smallest foot print possible. In order to maximise the efficiency of the build process, we ensure each delivery arrives as and when required.
Our pre-cut system ensures that machined and numbered wooden sections are delivered with the necessary fixings, materials and components to complete the house, this makes our concept particularly attractive to customers interested in self builds. The larger the house, the longer the build time, which is why we deliver the material in the order of construction requirements. This helps to maintain a good clean construction site and provides plenty of room for further deliveries throughout the construction process. An average family home takes approximately one week to assemble the main structure with the roof water tight, and three months to complete a turn key finish.
